Congrats to the Red Roses on their Grand Slam in the Women’s Six Nations Rugby Union and to France who played such dynamic running rugby and ran them so close. World Cup is going to be interesting!

Gap in the sea wall at the bottom of Victoria Road this morning, the promenade and Marine Lake beyond and the Welsh coast in the far distance obscured by a light mist. #WestKirby #Wirral

Fwiw M&S not doing returns or exchanges on in-store credit card purchases at Cheshire Oaks. Return dates extended.

Amazing how tame birds become when regularly fed by customers at the Whistle Stop Cafe, Thurstaston.

Exercise in Birkenhead Park followed by coffee and exhibitions at Williamson Art Gallery. Gallery was on absolutely top form. Enjoyed the Steer and Richards exhibitions in particular but the Subterranean Elevator was something else again. Will be back to check out stuff we missed. #Wirral

Always think this should scroll as per intro to Star Wars. Missed opportunity.

Spot of exercise around Birkenhead Park this morning before the bad weather sets in.

Dramatic cloud formation and a chilly breeze this morning in #WestKirby #Wirral

Making the most of fine weather so on the clifftop walk between #Thurstaston and #Heswall Field again. Lots of egrets perched in trees near the field (aka “white blobs” in photo). PSA: if you go that way, watch out for rogue stump at gate to field. Yes, voice of experience.

Another pleasant clifftop walk along the KC3P from #Thurstaston to #Heswall Field. PSA: protruding stump by posh gate to Heswall Field liable to trip the unwary (me every time). #Wirral

Lifeguards are present at West Kirby with Hilbre Island visible in the distance.

First time on the KC3 Path between Tinker’s Dell and Heswall Field. Wonder how long it will survive the inevitable cliff erosion. Very pleasant walk in the Spring sunshine though still quite chilly. #Wirral

Not many waders but lots of highly vocal chiff-chaffs this morning at #Thurstaston #Wirral
