Pleasant afternoon walk around Royden. Rhododendrons flowering profusely but perhaps suffering a little from the unrelenting sun of late. Coffee at Benty’s then a walk around the Mere and a view of the walled garden through locked gates (open 9-3, Mon-Fri).
