Up top again. Weather steadily improving but Moel Famau across the estuary still shrouded in cloud. Damp underfoot in #Royden and a few puddles in the usual places. Ducks camped out in the car park.

Persistent rain but not too heavy so off to #Royden as per usual, brolly to the fore, waterproofs donned (belt & braces). Predictably damp underfoot so kept it brief. Coffee and carbs undercover at the courtyard.

Sharp shower on the return leg of this morning’s brief visit to #Royden. Everything growing like mad in the walled garden. Quiet in the courtyard in the absence of ducks.

Weather generally better than forecast so slightly overdressed though not complaining. Coffee and carbs at the courtyard accompanied by ducks again. They are remarkably unfazed by the dogs, not to mention humans.

Managed to dodge the showers this morning in #Royden. Quick peek at the walled garden then coffee and carbs in the courtyard with the ducks.

Cool and occasionally breezy this morning in #Royden. Dense foliage often blocking what little sunshine peeps through the cloud. Quite busy across the heathland.

A cool and overcast morning but luckily no rain in #Royden. Time of year when bracken and brambles conspire to narrow footpaths and low hanging branches snatch at hats. Coffee and carbs accompanied by a young robin at Benty’s.

In need of cardio so jog/walk from Moreton to Meols and back this morning, 3 miles in 39 min. A benchmark of sorts though I am no kind of endurance runner, never have been. Coffee and carbs at the Green Hut.

To the top of Thurstaston Hill this morning. Very blustery and distinctly cool, hence extra layer. On the upside, dodged showers. Nice warm rhubarb and ginger scone at Benty’s (closed 7th to 12th June inc). Rhodos starting to fade.

Damp underfoot but dodged all but the briefest of showers this morning in #Royden. Summer splurge of green stuff well underway.

Not many people seem to use the path at the back of the small arboretum at #Royden, possibly due to the large number of molehills in front of it. The tree is a madrona/arbutus apparently. First conkers spotted by Benty’s!

Last dry day for a while if the forecasts are to be believed. Heather starting to bloom on Thurstaston Hill (early?). #Royden fairly quiet though the dog walkers tend to cluster which makes more space for the rest!

Found a newly laid path at #Royden which turned out to be part of a path I used to follow in reverse. I wonder if more people will use it?

From yesterday, assorted views of the very photogenic Central Library in Liverpool.

Last hot day of the present spell but just pleasantly warm first thing in #Royden. A few puddles after last night’s thunderstorm.

Gentle breeze much appreciated this morning on Montgomery Hill.
Nice day out in Liverpool visiting the Walker Art Gallery and Central Library. Had fun sketching in the sculpture gallery. Medieval, Baroque and Renaissance galleries particularly good places to chill (literally). Sorry to see the library cafe apparently closed.

Still a bit scorchio in #Royden so kept the walk short and shady. Laburnum arch still looking peachy. Coffee and carbs in the courtyard.

Pleasantly warm again first thing in #Royden. Understandably quite busy, especially noticeable on the narrow paths up to Thurstaston Hill. Nice to see people enjoying the fine weather.

Not really a sun person but enjoyed the warmth this morning in #Royden. Shade from trees much appreciated.

Distinctly warm this morning in #Royden. I suspect more clouts need casting! Bit of a renewal theme with the photos. Also, saw a treecreeper.

Current fave album is Remember the Humans by Broken Social Scene. Just beautiful music.🎵
Apple TV on a bit of a roll at the moment. Widow’s Bay and Criminal Record have become a regular watch with For All Mankind not far behind. 📺
Warm but largely overcast morning in #Royden. Feeling reckless so cast a clout. Rhodos and bracken prominent though a few early rhodos losing their flowers now.

Shopping/culture twirly to Liverpool. Coffee and carbs at the Walker. Some rooms closed but interesting to see the new temporary exhibitions.
