Glorious day for a clifftop walk to #Heswall Shore. Coffee at YOT (now open Mon-Sun) and a chance to admire the new gates down to the shore. Checked for #tadpoles (reduced in number) on the way back to Thurstaston. #Wirral

Eveningtide at the cemetery. #fensterFreitag

Dearth of ducklings spotted so far, just singletons at Ness last week and in the small pond at Frankby cemetery today. Hopefully more to come.
After the strides, coffee at the Lady Lever. Outside many ladies dressed in purple with red hats. Very striking and presumably members of the Red Hat Society. They seemed to be enjoying Port Sunlight. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_…
Burning up the back straight (I wish). Anyways, a nice place to get some strides in. #chariotsOfFire #Bebington #Wirral

I wandered lonely as a cloud… #WestKirby #Wirral

Cotoneaster humming with bee activity today.

Today’s unexpected nature lesson was watching a moorhen climb a tree with a chunk of bread (not my doing) in its beak to feed its brood in the nest which was quite high up. Yes, I should have taken photos.
Free Qigong exercises on the #WestKirby prom, Friday 8am. Nice thought. (Time updated)

Strides in the park, coffee at Carlee’s and a walk around the Marine Lake. OK, two out of three ain’t bad. ๐

Also had a fleeting glimpse of a lizard as it crossed my path close to the top. Can’t remember the last time I saw one. Some evidence of a gorse fire which is sad. #Wirral
Heron poised among lily pads and resting Spotted Wood butterfly with damaged wing, plus wisteria in bloom in the walled garden. All from this afternoon’s visit to Royden. #Wirral
Butterfly-by this morning close to the Ring O’Bells in the old village of #WestKirby #Wirral
Congrats to the Red Roses on their Grand Slam in the Women’s Six Nations Rugby Union and to France who played such dynamic running rugby and ran them so close. World Cup is going to be interesting!
#NessGardens looking very colourful this morning. #bloomScrolling #Wirral
Always a pleasure to visit Port Sunlight.
Gap in the sea wall at the bottom of Victoria Road this morning, the promenade and Marine Lake beyond and the Welsh coast in the far distance obscured by a light mist. #WestKirby #Wirral
